Since its formation in 2005, Biom'Up has been developing medical device based on patent protected biopolymers.
Using this experience, Biom'Up has created innovative and clinically proven products that cover many different surgical specialties - orthopaedics, spinal, cardiac, general and maxillo-facial and dental. Biom'Up is committed to the design and development of novel high-performing solutions that make life easier for surgeons and better for patients.
All Biom'Up's products are designed, developed and manufactured at our state of the art facility located in Saint-Priest (Lyon, France) and the company is both ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 approved with ISO 7 and 8 clean rooms on site.

2003: Genesis of the Biom'Up project in Créalys and the Lyon EM (School of Commerce and Management)
2004: Submission of the 1st patent
2005: Creation of Biom'Up S.A.S.
2006: ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certifications
2007: Approval and development of the first OEM products
2008: Raised €1.5 M
2009: CE marking and launch of the COVA™ and MATRI™ BONE ranges
2010: Raised €3 M
2011: First FDA 510(k) approval, over 30,000 medical devices implanted in Europe
Biom'Up's Awards
2003 : Winners of the Fondation Rhône-Alpes Futur and the Innovact competition awards.
2004: Winners of the Rhône-Alpes Entreprendre Association award and the French National Competition for Creation award in the emerging project category. Biom'Up received the French high-tech mutual fund label (FCPI) and became a successful 'Start-Up'.
2005 : Winner of the National Competition for Creation award in the creation category; Novacité Labelling.
