COVA™ ORTHO
Resorbable membrane for guided tissue healing and adhesion prevention
COVA™ ORTHO is a transparent type-I acellular collagen membrane that is used in orthopaedic surgery to prevent the formation of postoperative adhesions by providing a cleavage plane between damaged nerves and/or tendons and surrounding soft tissues. It is indicated in any orthopaedic surgery where there is a risk of post-operative adhesions and/or a requirement for guided tissue regeneration. COVA™ ORTHO can be sutured.
Indications in emergency orthopaedic surgery:
- Protection for sutures
Indications in elective orthopaedic surgery:
- Neurolyses (carpal tunnel repair, neurolyses of the ulnar at elbow)
- Tenolyses
- Neuroma resection, etc.
