COVA™ CARD
Resorbable membrane for guided tissue regeneration and adhesion prevention
COVA™ CARD is a transparent type-I acellular collagen membrane that is used in cardiothoracic surgery to prevent the formation of postoperative adhesions. COVA™ CARD acts as a natural separating layer between the heart, lungs and other soft tissues. As it is resorbable it enables safer, simpler reoperation. COVA™ CARD can be sutured.
Indications in cardiothoracic surgery:
- Congenital Paediatric Diseases
- Mitral valve insufficiency
- Hypoplasias
- Prevention of adhesion around assistance before a graft
