COVA™ ABDO
Resorbable membrane for guided tissue regeneration and adhesion prevention
COVA™ ABDO is a transparent type-I acellular collagen membrane that is used in abdominal and pelvic surgery to prevent the formation of postoperative adhesions. COVA™ ABDO acts as a natural barrier between the organs and surrounding tissue thereby enabling safer and simpler reoperation. COVA™ ABDO can be sutured.
Indications in abdominal surgery, laparotomy and coelioscopy:
- Hepatectomy
- Colectomy
- Placement of digestive stomas
- Cholecystectomy
- Bariatric surgery
Indications in pelvic surgery:
- Hysterectomy
- Myomectomy
Left liver lobectomy.
After prior application of a biological glue,
COVA™ ABDO membrane is placed before closure.
